La Vie en Rose

Did you know La Rioja makes its very own Rosé? It’s called Clarete

Discover our Rosé and experience a trip back in time through this historic landscape.

There is a specific area where they have mastered the art: three villages that form The Clarete Triangle. You will visit some family-run wineries to learn about this particular winemaking process while the winemaker fills your glass with the finest artisan Clarete.

To round off the experience, we offer the option to visit the cradle of the Spanish Language, in San Millan de La Cogolla. La Rioja is steeped in history and has had a great influence on Spain as a whole. Known as the birthplace of modern Spanish, we can trace the first evidence of the written language back to the region.

You will visit the monasteries that are a repository of centuries of history, folklore and stories which are an intrinsic part of the Spanish language, culture and history. Our tour will guide you through that golden age for the area and show you the splendour of that era.

The tour includes:
-Visit to 2 wineries

-Private guided tour at one of them

-Tasting session of 4 wines (rosés, whites and reds) at each winery

-Optional guided tour to the monastery of San Millan de La Cogolla

-Traditional picnic or lunch at a restaurant

Other visitors’ opinion on the La Vie en Rose tour

Exceptional Rioja wine tour

Inma & Mel are both extremely knowledgeable, fun and have excellent relationships with many local wine producers.

We visited a variety of family run and innovative winemakers who produce a fantastic range of high quality wines, many of which are different to those we come across in the U.K. We had a great lunch in a private wine cave surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Inma and Mel also went out of their way for me to visit a particular winery I like as well. All of the hardworking winemakers were really fun and engaging and I came home with some fantastic wines and fond memories.
